How Meteorologists Find Out The Weather

One of the ways meteorologists measure rains is the rain gauge. The way it works is the rain water will drip into a bottle. Then they will put it inside of a measurer beaker. That will tell them how many inches of rainfall has fallen in that area. One of the other ways to find out the weather at home is to make your own observations. You could also look at the Internet for The Weather Channel and other weather telling websites. A doppler radar sends pulses of energy with each turn it makes. If a raindrop hits the dropper radar it will send energy to another radar. Meteorologists need this information to tell us the weather and to put it on the Weather Channel or the internet, and apps such as Accuweather. Without this information we might go for a bike ride and it might rain while you’re biking.
