Roman Food

Most Roman kitchens didn’t have a cooking fire because it was too dangerous. Instead, they bought hot food from vendors. For the rich Romans slaves prepared food in the kitchen but there was no chimney so it was very Smokey. The common Roman people had diets consisting of meat herbs and vegetables. The poor people had to eat Stew and bread. The rich Romans had a lot of food party and drank a lot of wine.
