Roman Gods

The Roman gods where myths told to children and taught in schools. Rome copied most of the stories from the Greeks. If a mistake was made, they would restart the ceremony to fix it. The Romans would change the names of the Greek God’s to things such as the name of planets. Zeus was Jupiter, Hera was Juno, and Ares was Mars, and so on. The Romans had rituals and festivals. They had over 40 annual festivals for all of Rome. Fathers were expected to carry on the religion. The wives were in charge of the fires of Vesta. Offerings could be a cake to statues. At one point, even the emperors were considered gods. The story of the Roman gods has been passed on from Roman generaions.
